CODE OF PRACTICE
From time to time things don't go quite to plan. It's human nature. I would very much like the opportunity to discuss through any problem you may have with my business before any further action is taken.
As per the Attorneys General's website; Being a celebrant is a special and important role in the community. It attracts obligations and legal responsibilities. Failure to meet those responsibilities can have serious consequences.
As an authorised celebrant we :
-
solemnise marriages under the Marriage Act 1961 and Marriage Regulations 1963
-
conduct yourself in accordance with the Code of practice for marriage celebrants
-
comply with ongoing professional development obligations.
Marriage celebrants must also register marriages with the registry of births, deaths and marriages in the state or territory in which the marriage took place within fourteen days.
