Terms & Conditions
BY ENGAGING MY SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO T&C'S LAID OUT BELOW.
Marriage Celebrants are required by law to ensure a number of tasks are completed and that the marriage is registered appropriately according to the Marriage Act 1961.
To meet those requirements also means you, the marrying couple, are required to meet certain obligations too. The most obvious ones are to give Notice of Intended Marriage with a minimum one months notice, meet the legal requirement to marry, supply identification, birth certificates and/ or other legal paperwork for viewing by the celebrant as and when requested.
There are other conditions that maybe required of you, this includes the signing of my service agreements. These are as follows;
1.A Booking Fee of $250 applies to Full service weddings and other selected services.
This reserves a particular date and time for the couple. Once is booking is made you have secured me as you Celebrant. I wouldn't be able to accept other bookings for your booked date and time, this fee is non refundable or transferable. Only in extenuating circumstances I may consider your refund requests. Examples would be a government ban on weddings. All requests must be made in writing.
Mini Weddings/Elopements and Kitchen Table Weddings all require payment upfront and the payment locks in your date and time.
2.COVID 19 Conditions
If the government put a hold or a lockdown in place and wedding are not longer allowed to continue, all monies paid can be transfered to another date. If you change your mind on your date, but there are no government imposed restrictions for me to conduct your ceremony, I am happy to offer ONE complimentary transfer of your booking fee. After this you will be required to pay another booking fee.
3.Ceremony Starting Time
In the event of your ceremony being delayed beyond 15 minutes, I will be entitled to proceed to my next commitment (if any) and cut your ceremony short. An Extra charge of $150 per hour, with a minimum of one hour, will apply once the ceremony is late beyond 30 minutes of the scheduled time. DO NOT BE LATE!!!
Should you need me to return to complete the marriage. you will need to book in for a Kitchen Table wedding at a later date. I will not agree to a transfer of NOIM at the late stage.
Plan your day leaving plenty of time for things to go wrong or take longer than expected. Better to be safe than sorry.
4.Loan of Wedding Materials
The loan of any materials may or may not also be covered by the Booking Fee. A deposit may be required and if not returned a financial penalty may apply. This also includes your wedding guests taking my belonging such as pens and vows books.
